Day 10: Niagara to Fair Haven Beach St. Park

Just a half day of travel; we got back into the US around 9:00 AM at the Rainbow Bridge customs station; this is a large one with about 12 entry stations. The customs agent asked the usual questions but did not check our car for contraband (the car ahead of us was so checked....) and we spent a couple of hours on the US side of Niagara. Then we traveled to the night's stop at Fair Haven State Park in upstate New York, on the edge of Lake Ontario. Here, we almost had the park to ourselves and it was a good park. Upstate New York is beautiful and we enjoyed the fall colors and the uncrowded rural highways we traveled on.

From the US side of the falls.
From the US side of the falls; when it is sunny, there's often a rainbow...or several....around the Falls.
Nice view looking into Niagara Falls, Ontario, from the US side. The 'space needle' thing is called Skylon Tower, and it does have a revolving restaurant at the top.
Umm. Probably an unnecessary reminder; however, we did see a couple of loosely-supervised kids perched on the railing....
 Upstate New York.
Upstate New York.
