Day 8: Parry Sound to Niagara Falls

The day started off well; a short days' drive to Niagara. But then Toronto appeared, and just kept coming. A city of 2.5 million (not counting the numerous large suburbs) which is just a little less than the entire population of Oregon. Did not seem to matter which lane of the expressway I was in; the exit ramp I needed was always 2 or 3 lanes away and impossible to get to before it passed. So, instead of going around Toronto, we ended up going through the city, where we were introduced to the quaint urban custom of punishing folks with car horns. We were only the recipient of a few such on our trip; however, some luckless driver we observed (we never did see the offense given) was rewarded with continual horn honking which kept up until we were out of earshot. Anyway, we got through the city without being smashed into by the  Indy wanna be race car drivers, who all seemed to be after our little Acura. At Niagara Falls we pulled into a KOA around 1:30 PM and just relaxed a bit before finding the town's WalMart, where we bought a replacement air mattress. Then we cruised the tourist section of the town; our first thought was 'So many restaurants, so little time'! This is one of the world's great tourist cities and you can get just about any cuisine you wish. This night we went to a Korean restaurant where we ordered by looking through the pictures.
